Accommodation

The Ivánka Castle operated by the Hungarian Scout Association in Slovakia (SZMCS-ZSMN) offers accommodation for tourists interested in the neighbourhood.
We can accommodate 45 people in 7 rooms with bunk beds. The common room can be used as a dining hall and is also suitable for organizing discussions and conferences. There are several separate common sanitary rooms which were recently renewed. They can also satisfy the needs of bigger groups. The equipment of the kitchen for joint use is also suitable for bigger groups and for preparing various dishes.
The courtyard contains a spacious parking lot, however, we paid attention to leave enough place for children´s plays and outdoor programmes in front of and beyond the castle building. There is also an interactive educational trail where children can learn about the neighbourhood through playing.
The backyard is suitable for different outdoor activities. There is a roofed pavilion, a campfire place and a kiln which is at our guests´ service after prior consultation.
In the backyard, camping is possible (in own tents) for 10 to 15 people.
There is free Wi-Fi in the Castle´s common room.

In the neighbourhood, the most important sights are the forests rich in natural resources. There are also several attractions not far from the place, such as the Madách Imre Museum in Dolná Strehová, the Palóc Museum in Balassagyarmat or the thermal spa in Dudince. Tourists can visit more than 20 nearby castles and ruins.
